The Electric Mirror – Reflecting on Video Art in the 1970s

Featuring work from the first decade of American video art, this program focuses on artists who were influenced by, and who pushed against, the influence of television. A number of titles in the program are from the original Castelli-Sonnabend video art collection, the first and most prominent collection of video art assembled in the United States. Artists include Lynda Benglis, Keith Sonnier, Susan Mogul, William Wegman, Nancy Holt, John Baldessari, Simone Forti, Marlene Kos, Paul Kos and Barbara Aronofsky Latham.
